It is primarily being used to download software packages to MGC-/MGC Pro controllers. Additionally, it is possible to read
out and save parameters and transfer them to other controllers.
Software updates for MGC-/MGC PRO controllers can easily be transferred from a PC to the Service Module via USB. The Service module is recognized under Windows as a removable disk drive. No special hardware drivers need to be installed.
The Service module is either powered by the service port of the MGC-/MGC Pro controller or via USB. Thus, no additional
power supply is necessary.
